Introduction

AMU Class 6th Admission 2025–26 is offered to both boys and girls in selected AMU schools. Admission to Class VI is through an Admission Test and Interview based on the syllabus of NCERT/CBSE Class V as followed in AMU schools. For this class, seats are available in STS School (Minto Circle), RMPS AMU City School, AMU Girls School, and AMU City Girls High School (Qazi Para). The process includes an 85-mark written test and a 15-mark interview, with specific rules for qualifying in each section.

Eligibility & Age Limit

For AMU Class 6th Admission 2025–26, students must meet both conditions:

  • Educational Qualification: Candidate should have passed Class V from a school recognized by a competent authority or affiliated to an approved Board. The registration/affiliation number of the school must be mentioned on the certificate or mark sheet.
  • Age Limit: Must be 10 to 12 years on 31 March 2025.
    • Date of Birth should fall between 01 April 2013 and 31 March 2015 (both days included).

Exam Pattern & Syllabus

Selection Procedure: Admission is through an Admission Test and Interview.

  • Written Test (85 marks):
    • Section I (25 marks): 25 MCQs from Languages (English, Urdu, Hindi).
      • Minimum 40% marks are required in this section to qualify for the Interview.
    • Section II (60 marks):
      • Mathematics – 30 MCQs (30 marks)
      • Environmental Studies – 30 MCQs (30 marks)
  • Interview (15 marks):
    • Candidates shortlisted from the written test are called for an interview.
    • Minimum 40% marks are required in the interview for selection.
