Introduction

AMU Class 9th Admission 2025–26 is conducted through an entrance test followed by an interview. Admission is open for both boys and girls in selected AMU schools. The entrance test is based on the NCERT/CBSE Class VIII syllabus as followed in AMU schools. For this class, seats are offered in STS School (Minto Circle) and AMU Girls School, with hostel facilities available for both.

Eligibility & Age Limit

• Educational Qualification: Candidate must have passed Class VIII from a recognized school/board. The school’s registration/affiliation number should be mentioned on the certificate/mark sheet.
• Age Limit: Must be 13 to 15 years as on 31 March 2025.
  • Eligible DOB: 01 April 2010 – 31 March 2012 (both days included).

Exam Pattern & Syllabus

Selection Procedure: Written Test + Interview.

• Written Test (85 marks):
  • Languages (English, Urdu, Hindi): 25 marks
  • Mathematics: 30 marks
  • Science: 30 marks
• Interview (15 marks):
  • Only shortlisted candidates are called.
  • Minimum 40% marks required in the interview.

Important Rule: A candidate must secure at least 40% in the Language section to qualify for the interview.

Syllabus: Entirely based on NCERT/CBSE Class VIII syllabus followed in AMU schools.
